The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office has proudly served the citizens of the county for over 150 years. Although national crime trends have changed through the decades, the Sheriff’s Office has met these challenges with renewed technologies and training to fight crime.

- 911 Emergency Communications: Emergency Communications Specialists play a vital role in communication between emergency response units and those who need assistance. The ability to remain calm is of vital importance. Dispatchers play a key role in gathering and conveying information.
- Corrections: Corrections Officers are responsible for the custody and care of inmates. They take this responsibility seriously.
- Deputy Sheriffs: Deputy Sheriffs come into contact with people from all walks of life. Oftentimes, these contacts are with people who are having difficulties and may have medical or emotional challenges.
