Construction Debris Disposal

The County's existing program includes 10 collection locations to ensure that demolition materials management capacity is available for all residents within our Solid Waste Management Area.

Some locations have different standards or collection techniques that restrict the disposal of larger loads. Please refer to our Large Load Acceptance Policy for complete information.

All of our transfer station locations include voluntary separation of recyclable waste including concrete, brick and blacktop that is eventually crushed and utilized as aggregate material.

Customers also have the opportunity to separate waste components such as scrap metal, cardboard and brush and branches that might be mixed in the loads. Those items are accepted free at some of our locations.

Acceptable and Unacceptable Materials

The 10 demolition waste collection locations take in material consisting of debris which is defined as "solid waste resulting from the demolition of buildings, roads, and other man-made structures including concrete, brick, bituminous, untreated wood, masonry, and glass or plastic building parts."
