The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), enacted on July 26, 1990, is a civil rights law prohibiting discrimination against individuals on the basis of disability. As required by Title II of ADA, St. Louis County has conducted a self-evaluation of its pedestrian facilities within county roadway public rights-of-way and has developed a Transition Plan for County Roadway Public Right-of-Way detailing how St. Louis County will ensure that all pedestrian facilities are accessible to all individuals.
