A unique feature to the continuous green-T is that the vehicles on the side-street make a left turn into a dedicated acceleration lane. These vehicles then merge with the through vehicles already on the major road that are provided continuous traffic flow.
St. Louis County installed the first continuous green-T intersection at the intersection of CSAH 4 (Rice Lake Road) and Airport Road in the City of Duluth.
Additional resources about continuous green-T intersections can be found on the Federal Highway Administration website.
