Opening Keynote - Rick Miller
Rick Miller is the founder of THE INTERSECTION CONSTRUCT. This private consulting firm offers various services within education, juvenile justice, justice, child welfare, behavioral and mental health, and recreation sectors.
Rick is also a professor of practice at the School of Community Resources and Development at Arizona State University and the Dean of The MASTER's Institute. This annual event attracts our country's top practitioners and researchers interested in learning and sharing the power of HOPE Science.
Rick founded and created Kids at Hope, an international child and youth development movement and research project that studies family, school, and community cultures to understand the dynamics of success and failure better.
Rick has spent 52 years in the Human Services sector as a practitioner, researcher, professor, public policy expert, and author. Included in Rick’s career is that he served as executive director of the City of Phoenix’s Violence Prevention Initiative and an executive with Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
Closing Keynote - Annie Meehan
Annie Meehan is a professional keynote speaker that inspires, educates, and activates her audiences with a clear message that spurs listeners to break counterproductive patterns and be the exception! As a widely embraced international speaker, she has been a catalyst in inspiring countless organizations to choose to soar above the status quo. One of her books, The Pineapple Principle, offers hospitality and a sweet journey to an exceptional customer experience. Today, her passion is to share her "H3 Cultures" concept with companies to help them create a Hopeful, Healthy, and Happy workplace that retains an engaged workforce!
Meehan has three adult children and lives in the Orlando, FL, area, with her husband Greg. She enjoys being an active member of her community by volunteering, going on adventures with her family, and taking Leo, her beloved pup, for strolls.

The fee covers attendance for one or both days of the conference and admittance to the exhibit hall. Participants can attend the workshops of their choice throughout the conference. Minnesota Board of Social Work continuing education units (C.E.U.s) will be available; some C.E.U.s may also fulfill Minnesota Board of Nursing requirements.
Online registration ends Friday, September 30, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. Walk in registration begins at 9:00 AM on Wednesday October 9th and continues throughout the conference.
