Snowmobile Crash on Wild Rice Lake Reservoir

On December 19, 2024, at 1612 hours, St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, Rice Lake Fire Department, St. Louis County Rescue Squad, MN DNR and Mayo Ambulance were dispatched to a report of a snowmobile that had flipped on Wild Rice Lake Reservoir in the city of Rice Lake. It was reported the male was conscious and breathing but was not wearing a helmet.

ATV through the ice on St. Louis River

On December 19, 2024, at 1454 hours, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, Duluth Police Department, Duluth Fire Department, St. Louis County Rescue Squad, US Coast Guard and Mayo Ambulance, were dispatched to an ATV that had reportedly gone through the ice on the St. Louis River near Spirit Mountain. It was unclear how long the ATV had been there or if anyone was in distress.
