Hibbing Assault Suspect Arrested After Pursuit

On March 9, 2026, at approximately 1207 hours, a St. Louis County Sheriff's Office patrol unit in the Saginaw area observed a vehicle wanted by the Hibbing Police Department regarding a violent assault that was reported the previous night.  A traffic stop with the vehicle was initiated which ultimately turned into a pursuit eastbound on Hwy 2 from the area of Saginaw before ending in Proctor.

Corrine Alice Starc Sentenced

Today, in St. Louis County District Court in Hibbing, the Honorable Rachel C. Sullivan denied a defense motion for a dispositional departure and sentenced Corrine Alice Starc, 47, to 41 months in prison, announced St. Louis County Attorney Kim Maki.  Ms. Starc previously pleaded guilty to one Count of Kidnapping on December 23, 2025.
