Structure Fire in Britt

On November 25th, 2023 at approximately 00:02 AM, St. Louis County Sheriff's deputies along with several area Fire Departments and the Minnesota State Patrol responded to a structure fire (a Quad-plex multi-family home) located in the 8400 block of Nelson Road in Britt, Mn. Upon arrival the structure was fully engulfed in flames, and as a result of the fire the structure was completely destroyed.

County Board schedules two public meetings to get input on 2024 budget

The St. Louis County Board will hold two public meetings to receive comments on its proposed operating budget and tax levy for 2024. Both meetings will include a presentation about the budget and levy, and an opportunity for citizens to address the Board with questions or comments. The first meeting is Monday, November 20, at 7 p.m. in the St. Louis County Courthouse in Virginia, lower-level conference room. The second meeting will be Monday, November 27, at 7 p.m. at the St. Louis County Courthouse in Duluth.
