Two garage fires in the Aurora area were reported about 20 minutes apart. There were no reported injuries in either fire, and it appears they are not connected, nor are they suspicious in nature, but rather a coincidence in their proximity to each other.

Morris Thomas Road construction and detour begin May 8

Construction on Morris Thomas Road in Duluth, along with necessary detours, is scheduled to begin Monday, May 8. This is a two-year project to reconstruct Morris Thomas Road between Haines Road and Piedmont Avenue. The $8.4 million project will include the complete reconstruction of Morris Thomas Road, replacement of watermains beneath it, a new sidewalk on the south side of the road, plus new curbs and gutters.

County issues Request for Proposals for Depot tenants

The St. Louis County Depot is issuing an RFP, calling on organizations that are interested in engaging office, exhibit, or performance space in the 131-year-old landmark building. All current tenants have been encouraged to apply, but outside organizations are also welcome. Points will be awarded to those with meaningful commitment to the Depot’s mission and vision. Non-profits and for-profits are both welcome to apply.
